What a wonderful start of the New Year with our Pen Buddies members, volunteers and Ambassadors! Over 20 participants joined us on the 24th of January 2021 to learn about New Year celebrations around the world, how people in different countries make their new year's resolutions and how each of us can be inspired and motivated by new experiences. We have learnt that New Year celebrations are happening almost every month of the year, except May and November. But there is one common theme across the cultures - New Year festivals are about hope, joy, inspiration and being together with the family and friends. Happy New Year to all!
And of course, we enjoyed our usual Fun Quiz and Art and Craft time. Our Pen Buddies coordinator Tram taught us how to make traditional apricot blossom flowers from paper, that is so popular in Vietnam.

We have connected over 500 kids from the UK with the children from other parts of the world through writing letters to their Pen Buddies in Cambodia, Hong Kong, China, Malaysia, Russia, Namibia & Vietnam.
