Helping UK community to fight COVID-19 pandemic

Updated: Mar 12, 2022

Since the lockdown, the Vice-Chairlady of the Wisdom Foundation Betty Yeung have made over 200 cotton masks to support community nationwide. All masks are given for free, and we ask to cover postage costs only.

In early March, Catherine Nicholls, the Chairlady of the charity, came with idea to help family and friends to stay safe by sending them hand made cotton masks. It is amazing to see how it grew into a big project, that is run by charity volunteers, with orders online and masks being sent to care homes and the most vulnerable people.

So far, 45 masks were sent to NHS teams, over 20 - to the stuff of Bournemouth Chinese School and Moordown Community Centre, another 15 - to the teachers at local school, over 30 - to the care homes. All free of charge. The rest are individual orders from our online shop

Every small help matters in these times, and we are very proud of our team of volunteers, supporters and ambassadors, who find inspiration and enthusiasm to help the citizens in UK.

You can see happy masks owners in our Gallery.
