We are currently looking for Financial Officer Trainee with a focus on fundraising. As a Financial Officer Trainee, you will:

Arrange, coordinate, and facilitate fundraising events and activities such as cookies sales, painting sales, online crowdfunding, etc.

Research and prepare funding applications to relevant funders (the UK or abroad)

Report on funded activities to funders (with photos and documented supporting evidence)

Report funding applications to the executive committee. Track Funding application progress

Send thank-you letters to all supporters

Create promotion campaigns with the social media marketing team and project director

Follow funding budget and prepare reporting documentation

Be able to work as a part of a small, flexible team and contribute to the group and individual targets

Be able to work remotely

Be an excellent, confident, and persuasive communicator with people at all levels (written and oral, including public speaking and presentations)

Hours per week
25 hours per week
Working pattern
Preferably 9:30 am to 2:30 pm Monday to Friday,
But Flexible working hours offered, as long as 25 hours per week are covered.

The trainee will be allocated to our Funding Team to undertake financial tasks for Wisdom Foundation and its projects.
The trainee will be mentored by our experienced Project Directors who are senior managers at international corporations, and experienced department heads who work at our charity.
We will provide initial 1-week training for the successful candidates to ensure they have the skills that are needed for the job, these will include: how to use Microsoft Office tools, other systems in use, processes, procedures
Funding application strategy, Project budgeting, etc.
Job Training throughout the employment for different Funding applications, Fundraising campaigns, and financial planning for the projects. The candidate will be able to work independently with funding applications during this 6 months’ employment.
Periodic reviews with the line manager will be carried out to provide opportunities for feedback on performance and training needed.
Trainee will be provided with an opportunity to expand their network and get invaluable communication experience.
